The Ronin 4D is DJI’s most powerful film imaging platform to date.

• Intelligent image processing system: CineCore 3.0 offers an internal 8K RAW codec with precise color reproduction and low-latency image processing.
• Zenmuse X9 full frame gimbal camera – 8K and 6K versions.
• Zenmuse X9-6K supports up to 6K/60fps and 4K/120fps; Zenmuse X9-8K supports up to 8K/75fps.
• H.264 codec and internal Apple ProRes and ProRes RAW recording, for greater latitude for editing in post.
• Capture scenes with a rich color grade with dual-native EI of 800/5,000 and more than 14 stops of dynamic range.
• DJI Ronin 4D’s proprietary DJI Cinema Colour System delivers natural skin tones, even in complicated lighting conditions.

4-axis stabilization system

The DJI Ronin 4D has an industry-innovative active Z-axis to effectively eliminate vertical camera vibration.

DJI Ronin 4D also easily captures wide sliding shots without the need for a dolly.

The super-smooth content is achieved by a new advanced algorithm that processes input from a series of ToF downward sensors, dual forward and downward sensors, integrated IMU, and barometer.

Even with the additional Z-axis, DJI Ronin 4D is lighter and smaller than most film cameras mounted on a professional three-axis stabilizer.

Use ActiveTrack Pro to capture complex and advanced tracking shots easily and efficiently. Chase subjects from greater distances while adjusting composition to maintain optimal framing.

LiDAR focusing system

Get a sharper, faster and more reliable focusing experience with the newly developed LiDAR rangefinder.

It simultaneously deploys more than 43,200 distance points up to 10 meters, detecting subjects quickly and accurately, even in low-light environments.

DJI Ronin 4D offers three focus modes to meet every maker’s needs:

• Manual focus: DJI Ronin 4D provides LiDAR Waveform, an assistance tool that allows filmmakers to locate focus points and focus with extreme precision.
• Autofocus: maintains sharp focus on the subject in more dynamic and unpredictable situations such as documentary filmmaking.
• Automated Manual Focus (AMF): DJI’s unique AMF mode combines the best of both modes to automatically rotate the focus wheel following the focus point, allowing the operator to intervene manually at any time for an intuitive experience.

O3 Pro transmission technology

Using DJI’s new O3 Pro transmission technology, the 4D video transmitter transmits a 1080p/60fps feed to remote monitors with a transmission range of up to nearly 20,000 feet.

Includes 256-bit AES encryption to protect the video feed and industry-leading end-to-end low latency for a smooth, real-time monitoring experience.

In addition to 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, O3 Pro supports the DFS frequency band, greatly improving stability and anti-interference performance.

This system also enables multiple receivers with one transmitter and allows users to quickly switch feeds between multiple Ronin 4Ds.

The additional high-brightness remote monitor integrates a wireless video receiver into a 7-inch, 1,500-nit monitor. The built-in gyro sensor also turns the monitor into a motion controller for motion-based camera control.

It can also connect to Ronin 4D grips, DJI Master Wheels, DJI Force Pro or the new DJI Three-Channel Follow Focus to modernize coordinated footage.

When multiple remote monitors are used together, each device can play material separately with independent LUT, loaded without interfering with other monitors.

The monitor’s built-in microSD card slot supports proxy movie recording up to 1080p/60fps.

Storage, audio recording and battery life

DJI Ronin 4D offers three methods of storage:

• USB SSD: provides 4K projects with a cost-effective solution.
• CFexpress type B card: provides compatibility and stability.
• DJI’s proprietary PROSSD 1TB: provides the best performance and stability for internal recording at maximum resolution and frame rate.

For sound recording, DJI Ronin 4D has built-in microphones to support 24-bit 2-channel audio.

It also has two 3.5 mm jacks on the body and two XLR ports on the expansion plate for additional input and output options.

DJI Ronin 4D uses the TB50 smart battery, which offers up to 2.5 hours of shooting time. The battery has automatic heating technology to make it reliable in extreme weather conditions.

COMBO RONIN 4D

DJI Ronin 4D is available in 8K and 6K combos.

The 6K version features the main body, a Zenmuse X9-6K gimbal camera, LiDAR rangefinder, high-brightness main monitor, hand grips, top handle, TB50 smart battery, and carrying case.

The 8K version features the more powerful Zenmuse X9-8K camera gimbal and the 1 TB PROSSD storage solution.

To use Ronin 4D to its full potential, the 4D video transmitter, high-brightness remote monitor and DJI PROSSD 1TB are also available separately.
